APPROVAL BY THE SULTAN OF SELANGOR

The year was 1963 when a group of sailing enthusiasts were looking for a suitable location to establish a yacht club at Port Klang. In 1972, the Club’s name was changed to ”Selangor Yacht Club”. Further investment was made on the pontoon system imported from SF Marina, allowing members and their guests to board in comfort and safety. In March 1989, the ”Royal Selangor Yacht Club” was officially opened and given its new name by the Patron, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor. His Royal Highness was a frequent visitor to the Club with his family members, thus awarded the Club his warrant. The marina was further extended in 1990 proving the flexibility over time using the SF Marina system.

IN THE SEARCH OF NEW AND BIGGER
IN THE SEARCH OF NEW AND BIGGER

Ever since the beginning, new and more exposed locations have called for novel solutions, turbulence chambers, stronger connectors and novel anchoring techniques to mention a few. This was driving the need for a new production site and in 1985 we moved to our main production site located in Wallhamn, on the Swedish west coast. The production site has access to a deep-water quay and pontoons up to 250 tons have been shipped out.
